About Us
Here at UP Church Red Springs we are a hometown church with a hometown feel.
We recognize that in every community, families wear badges of honor and pride because of their deep heritage. Unfortunately, there are those in these same families who also wear bandages to cover a multitude of hurts,
hang-ups, and habits. Pain, addiction, disappointment, and hopelessness do not discriminate.
Neither does the journey that leads toward Christ’s healing power.
Life change, fresh vision, renewed strength, restored hope and relationships are
experienced as individuals take intentional steps toward accepting God’s grace and forgiveness.
Our mission is to share the good news; a message of hope, restoration,
and freedom to every generation and all people. We whole-heartedly welcome
you to come and be a part of God’s love lifting people UP in our community.

Pastor Donald Oxendine
Our Pastor
Pastor Donald has served UP Church of Red Springs since July 2016 in the role of lead Pastor. He has been in full time ministry since 2017 as an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International and has served in many other capacities in ministry since 1997.
He earned a MBA from Campbell University, Buies Creek, N.C. and a BSBA in Business Management with honors from the University of N.C. @ Pembroke. In addition, he serves the community via volunteering as Chaplain for the Red Springs Fire Dept; Southeastern Regional Medical Center, and Robeson County Jail ministry.
What We Believe
One God
We believe that there is only one God, who revealed himself to humanity in the person of Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 3:16; John 14:9).
Salvation
We believe that salvation is only found in Jesus Christ and is appropriated to humanity by God’s grace through the New Testament new-birth experience. (Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8; John 3:3-8)
We believe that the new-birth experience is comprised of repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. This is the New Testament pattern for all believers to follow as a result of their faith in Christ. (Acts2:38; Luke 13:1-5; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:5-6)
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe when a person receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit that person will speak with other tongues under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:45-46; Acts 19:6; Isaiah 28:11)
Christian Living
We believe that believers are called to live a holy and pure life before God and all humanity. (2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1; Hebrews 12:14)
The Rapture of the Church
We believe that the church will be raptured by Christ prior to the tribulation and will exist with him forever in eternity. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; 1Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 1:10)
Miracles
We believe that God‘s power is still active in the church and that healing, signs and miracles are available to God’s people through faith in Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 13:8; 1 Corinthians 2:4; 1 Peter 2:24)
Ministries
Kids Ministry
A place for your kids to begin to understand what it means to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. Your kids will sing songs, learn scripture, and understand Biblical principles through creative stories and multimedia.
On Wednesdays, your kids dive into smaller groups in which they get to have fun with traditional arts and crafts or even join the Kid’s drama team!

Men's Ministry
Our Men's Ministry helps uplift men by creating opportunities to fellowship and grow together in God. We have events that include sharing meals, fun activities and service initiatives like a work day. Men are foundations in families and God wants to make us stronger!
Activities often include:
- Weekly Men's Prayer Call (Every Monday)
- Annual Men's Fishing Trips
- Men's Conference

Ladies Ministry
This ministry is designed to bring strength and encouragement to all of our women. In every season in life women need support and friendship. This ministry will help build a stronger relationship with each other, with our families, and with God.
Activities include (but are not limited to) :
- Weekly Monday Prayer Call
- Shopping Trips
- Ladies’ Days and Fellowships
- North Carolina District Ladies’ Conference (annually)

ACTS Ministry
For anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. ACTS is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our life.
Make A Joyful Noise Unto The Lord!
Under the leadership of Bro. Weymon Oxendine Jr, the praise team makes a joyful noise unto the Lord every service! Through anointed praise and worship, the presence of the Lord fills the sanctuary and gives you freedom of worship! This sets the stage for the minister to bring the word of God.
If you are a musician, singer, or just enjoy listening to music, then UP Church is the place for you! There is no better music than that which lifts up the mighty name of Jesus!

- The mission of the Van Ministry is to give people of all ages the opportunity to worship in truth and to be filled with the Holy Ghost. This is accomplished by providing transportation to and from church services. We are also committed to building relationships in the community which will open doors for bible studies and discipleship.
